In 2006-07, Luedke placed third at the NCAA and Big Ten Championships. He posted a 33-4 season record in collegiate matches, going 16-1 in duals and 7-1 in Big Ten duals. He won a title at the Midlands Championships and led Iowa in collegiate wins (33), duals wins (16), collegiate winning percentage (.892) and dual winning percentage (.941). Luedke finished his Hawkeye career with a 56-19 record, going 23-8 in dual matches.
Luedke was also named to the NWCA all-academic team in 2005-06, making him the first Hawkeye to gain the honor in consecutive seasons. Former Hawkeye Jeff McGinness was named to the team in 1995 and 1998. In total, eight Hawkeyes have earned a spot on the squad.
Luedke is a health and sports studies major with a 3.49 grade-point average. To be selected to the NWCA all-academic team, wrestlers must have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA, have been an NCAA qualifier or won 60 percent of his total matches - and must have competed in at least 60 percent of his team's schedule. The other way to qualify is to have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and been an NCAA all-American. Overall, 57 wrestlers representing 38 different schools were named to the all-academic team.
