Campbell won the bronze medal in freestyle at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics just one month before his 38th birthday, making him the oldest U.S. wrestler to become an Olympic medalist. Campbell was a three-time NCAA All-American and two-time NCAA champ while at the University of Iowa in the late 1970s.
