With its two victories over Bucknell and Bloomsburg on Saturday, Columbia tied a school-record for most NCAA Division I wins in a season and most NCAA Division I wins since 1980-81. Columbia's 10 NCAA Division I dual match wins ties the most NCAA Division I victories in a season since 1980-81: 10 NCAA Division I wins in 1980-81 and 10 wins in 2018-19.
Columbia 30, Bloomsburg 9
Columbia dominated the Eastern Wrestling League's Bloomsburg by winning seven of 10 bouts and claimed a 30-9 victory Saturday at Nelson Fieldhouse. The win marks Columbia's 10th NCAA Division I victory this year.
After Columbia lost its first bout, the Lions won six consecutive matchups to take a 30-3 lead. Columbia's Matt Kazimir won a major decision 15-2 over Bloomsburg's Shawn Orem at 133 pounds, Dan Fongaro defeated Lewis Williams 5-3 at 141 pounds and Cole Corrigan won his eighth consecutive bout with a fall over Aaron Coleman in 2:53.
Dan Reed followed with a 9-4 decision over Nate Newberry at 157 pounds, Laurence Kosoy defeated Alex Carida 4-2, then Max Elling won 20-3 by technical fall over Bloomsburg's Gavin Hale at 174 pounds.

Columbia defeated Bucknell 20-16 at Davis Gym at Lewisburg, Pa. earlier in the day.
The Lions won six straight bouts and built a 20-0 lead. Dan Reed won a key battle and close 4-2 decision over the No. 11 ranked Zach Hartman at 157 pounds. Matt Kazimir and Cole Corrigan both won major decision over their respective opponents at 133 and 149 pounds respectively. Kazimir defeated Bucknell's Geo Barzona 10-1 and Corrigan won his seventh straight bout with a 13-4 win over Bucknell's Mathew Kolonia.
Joe Manchio opened up the matchup with a 12-10 decision over Bucknell's Jakob Campbell, Danny Fongaro defeated Bucknell's Noah Levett 5-4 and Laurence Kosoy won a 3-0 victory over D.J. Hollingshead.
After Columbia took a commanding 20-0, the Lions held off the Bison, concluded the match with four straight matches.
