Another week in the Big 12 saw some ranked upsets, both individual and team. Terrell Barraclough continues to establish himself as the top dog in the conference with a narrow win over Peyton Hall. Utah Valley now has their most dual wins since the 2019 season. Wyoming scored a big upset over West Virginia, using bonus points and a true freshman avenging an earlier season loss. Little Rock also gave Oklahoma State a tough battle, but Luke Surber scored another upset to establish himself as a contender this season.

HC Kevin Dresser earned his 250th win career dual meet win and 90th with the Cyclones here. The #31 recruit on the 2024 Big Board, Manville built a 6-0 lead that Fousek ended up tying 8-8 in the third period. Then in a scramble, Fousek put Manville on his back for the fall and big team points.

In front of a record number of fans, Little Rock gave OK State one of their tougher battles this season. Jordan Williams over Young wasn’t an upset but had plenty of storylines as Williams was going against his former school. After the match, he showed plenty of respect and shared a heartfelt post with his former teammate. Matty Bianchi pulled a big upset, forcing stall calls from bottom before putting Fish on his back for the fall in the third. Surber scored the first takedown and used a strong ride to clinch the upset over Stephen Little, his second win over a returning All-American this season.

285: Rune Lawrence Dec. Sam Mitchell (4-1)

Cole Brooks hit a big move on Titus for the fall early, which proved to be huge for the Cowboys. True freshman Neitenbach has surged of late, going 5-1 in his last six matches. He scored a ranked win here over Robin, flipping a CKLV match where he was pinned. The #47 recruit on the 2024 Big Board is 8-5 on the year with losses to #6 Bennett Berge, #3 Dustin Plott, #20 DJ Parker, and a now avenged loss to Dennis Robin.

Another true freshman, Rune Lawrence started the year at 197 but has competed at 285 for the past two duals. He’s gone 2-0 over bubble qualifiers and could be one to watch if they pull his redshirt since Michael Wolfgram went down to injury.
