#2 Ohio State at #1 Penn State Preview and Predictions

It’s almost upon us! The dual we’ve been waiting for all year. #1 Penn State hosts #2 Ohio State. Both come into this match with perfect records - inside and outside of the Big Ten. This dual is usually a lot of fun regardless of records, so this only adds to the potential excitement.

In addition to the meeting between the two undefeated squads, there are also some massive individual matches. A battle for the #1 ranking and #1 seed at Big Ten at 125 lbs. Two of the best freshmen in the country are expected to clash. All in all, six of the bouts are expected to feature top-ten opponents doing battle.

125 lbs - #2 Nic Bouzakis (Ohio State) vs. #1 Luke Lilledahl (Penn State)

It’s the big one! Number one and number two, both undefeated(ish). Not only does the winner put his team in a good position, but they will assume the #1 spot in the national rankings and get the top seed at the Big Ten Championships. Nic Bouzakis finished each of his first two seasons in Columbus outside of the top-eight; however, after moving down to 125 lbs, he’s looked like a national title favorite. His size and strength are without peer at this weight.
