Position Announcement: Assistant Wrestling Coach (High School) Location: Aurora Central Catholic HS, Aurora, IL Aurora Central Catholic High School (ACC) is a Roman Catholic secondary school located on 43 beautifully landscaped acres in Aurora, IL. Our school strives to enable students to realize their potential, to function morally, think critically, and communicate effectively. The ACC athletic program is designed to enhance the overall mission and philosophy of the school. Through sports and activities, our students learn to seek and find, work hard for success, to never yield, and to think and feel good about their development. The Wrestling Program ACC Wrestling has a long history of success and tradition. In recent years, the program has had low turnout and is in need of rebuilding. The coaching staff has the full support of the school administration who desires to see the program grow and return to its storied success. ACC competes in the staunch Chicago Catholic League and is located in the middle of some of Illinois’ best wrestling programs. We have great facilities, updating/procuring new singlets & warm-ups, and have brought in a new head coach to serve the program. Job Duties & Functions: The assistant wrestling coach supports the head coach in all aspects of the wrestling program, including training, match/tournament preparation, and student athlete development. Duties will include assisting with practices, ensuring athlete safety, help with equipment management, and fostering a positive environment. Assist with Practice Planning - drills, conditioning, technique development Provide Individual Feedback - help athletes improve their skills and technique Monitor Athlete Progress - track performance, identify improvements and adjust training accordingly Assist with physical training and conditioning Help with equipment management and maintenance Communicate with parents, teachers, and school officials Model professional behavior and sportsmanship Comply with all school policies and regulations Compensation: Stipend Based Position ($3,870.00 for the season) Professional Development / Training Provided: CPR First Aid, Diocese Based Training All candidates are encouraged to apply by emailing a letter of interest and resume to Head Coach Aaron Murauskas at amurauskas@auroracentral.com .
