O'Toole Nolf interesting semi match. Any takers on how this one plays out?
How has Nolf's attendance at church been?

Wish he would've been able to make it but he should be focused on his long term health not a last minute cut.

I don't see him beating Glory or Suriano. He won't take either of them down to attempt a gut
Sig bet? I bet if Lee scores a takedown against Glory, Suriano, or both if they meet.

I'm a bit skeptical of Lee's Olympic aspirations.
He was taken down quite a bit early in matches for a Wrestler of his caliber. The way he dominated in College was with that tilt, but with world Class Wrestlers being able to just lay there and not have to bring their arms in...so he can work the tilt, he's gonna have a lot more trouble turning people.
I'm absolutely NOT saying I don't think he can adjust. I think just getting healthier and in better shape will do wonders for him...but I see problems that will make a transition from Folkstyle to Freestyle...despite his very impressive credentials already.Tell me you haven’t watched Spencer Lee wrestle freestyle without telling me you haven’t watched Spencer Lee wrestle freestyle.

Spencer, we understand that and don't expect an excuse for your dropping out and medical forfeits to 6th place.
We do expect an explanation. That is not an excuse. It is treating fans, competitors and coaches to the reality of why you did not wrestle the placement matches.
If it is really a medical problem, let us know. We have followed your career and cheered/boo'ed you through knee troubles, sickness and triumph. We could see you were not 100% this time.
Why not make as simple announcement and clear things up? Injury is nothing to be ashamed of. It happens. It is not an excuse - it is reality.
Let your fans know.

If I were an Iowa fan it wouldn’t be placing second that bothered me, it’d be they don’t seem to be making any progress toward challenging Penn State. Two years in a row without a champ and the last champion, not namer Lee, was in 2017. The only finalist this year was a mercenary, Cass losing ground on Kerk, and how many All American’s do they have returning?
Don’t get me wrong, what the Brands have accomplished is amazing, but like Bama football, the standard is different at Iowa.
Passionate Iowa fan here. Hope the team gets better and is always looking to take the top spot and re-ignite the dynasty.
But I also have perspective. 2nd ain't bad and I plan on watching the next 50 years and will be cheering like hell whether or not the Gable years ever return.

I wrote a longer response, but deleted it to be more succinct: Zalesky took over from Gable and his record setting team. Brands took over from Zalesky and his consecutive 5th and 8th place finishes with no individual champs in two years.
Zalesky's three titles were his first three years after Gable left right? Rode his momentum and then drove it right off the bridge.

The Desanto Fix thing was called out as a blatant choke on the forums formerly known as Themat.com so not sure if that's the best defense of Nagao.

Thats correct, he didn't deny ingesting Ostarine one time but it is false to say as you did that he is an "admitted PED user," he didn't admit to being a user. This would be like me saying I'd never want Lee or RBY to win because they've admitted they wrestler for cheater programs.
Speaking of cheater programs, what’s with all the doping suspensions being former Okie State guys? Blanc, Oliver, Fix, feel like I’m missing one more.
Is there something in the water down in Stillwater (besides ostarine)?

I would like to see Coleman make the stand. I just have always liked watching him wrestle and was floored when Kaleb Young made the stand and he did not (and I am an Iowa homer).

How many MFF's has Iowa benefited from this weekend. It seems like a lot
When you have 7/10 wrestlers alive at the end of the tournament on the backside you are more likely to run into it than teams that have 2.

It’s because BTN commented on her every single broadcast during the Marinelli era. The creepy comes from the BTN guys.Nah, it's nots just that. You guys won't let it die, ISU board was looking up their property taxes, etc etc. Its a weird fixation that goes beyond normal jokes.

Would Cael even let them wrestle if it wasn't in the finals? He wouldn't let Nickal wrestle Snyder.

Desanto’s opponent was upset that Desanto was grabbing his arm too tight. That was his complaint.

i believe in PA they call that a cement job that the osu wrestler was trying from his feet
had lee going and then lee reacted and cartwheeled over and stuck the guy
lee is playing with fire...that was very dangerous
I think it's actually Witcraft that was playing with fire there.

I was pretty good until the semi finals. I think my winning percentage in that round was around 10%.
Obviously you weren't coached by Cael.

Just above .500 in Iowa over three varsity seasons. Three time third place district finisher when the top two qualify for state (top three go now). Cut way too much weight my senior year and suffered tremendously for it (wouldn't have been that good anyway but it meant I sucked if the cut bit me that week).
