This Week in Women's Collegiate Wrestling (2/24/2025)

NCAA Regionals Results

This weekend, 8 regions of NCAA women’s wrestling programs battled it out for qualifying spots at the National tournament in March. This expanded regional round grew from 6 teams last year to 8 teams this year, with the top 4 competitors at each weight getting the qualifying nod. The NCWWC will be held on March 7-8. Each team could bring 15 wrestlers to Regionals and all are eligible to qualify, so here is a breakdown of how many qualifiers each team had as well as the placers at each weight.

NAIA Conferences

This weekend, we will see conference action for NAIA teams across 6 conferences. NAIA post season works a little more like Men’s NCAAs with each conference having a number of allocated spots at each weight based on rankings and other factors. After conferences, a committee will determine the remaining at-large qualifiers to complete the 210 athlete national tournament.
