McKendree Signs U20 World Champion Robinson

McKendree’s women’s wrestling program got a huge boost on Tuesday night as U20 world champion Jasmine Robinson committed to the Bearcats. Robinson is a two-time U17 and U20 world team member. She has captured a world medal at both age groups - earning a bronze medal at the 2023 U17 World Championships and claiming gold at the 2024 U20 World Championships. Robinson competed for the 2025 U20 World Team, but came up just short of any hardware, finishing fifth.

During her 2024 U20 World Championship run, Robinson pinned her way through the tournament.

We’ll also see Robinson in action internationally at least one more time in 2025. She pinned and teched Elleni Johnson in the best-of-three finals at the U23 World Team Trials, while at Women’s Nationals.

Robinson has competed once before at the international level in the U23 age group. Last year, she won the U23 Pan-American championship at 72 kg.

We have reached out to McKendree to clarify when Robinson will be added to the roster: for the 2025-26 season or the 2026-27 season.

Robinson currently trains out of the Army's World Class Athlete Program. Because of this, it was previously unclear whether or not she’d compete at the collegiate level.

McKendree is a team that finished third at the NCWWC National Championships in 2025 and second to national champion Iowa at the Region V Tournament. The 2025 squad featured nine All-Americans and one individual national champion.
