Guilford/Welker Final X Series Delayed

For the second time today, we have to announce that one of the Final X series’ will be delayed. Earlier this morning, we reported on Real Woods’ post regarding his injury and his inability to wrestle this week.

Now, Dymond Guilford has stated on her Instagram account that her 76 kg women’s freestyle series with Kylie Welker will be postponed. In her post, she wishes Kylie “a speedy recovery,” so there is something that Welker is working through at this time.

Like Woods, Welker is a 2025 world medalist, so she is entitled to rescheduling their wrestle-off provided she submits the proper paperwork to USA Wrestling within their stated deadlines.

With this information, there are four series’ that will not take place at Final X. The 92 kg men’s freestyle series between Trent Hidlay and Mike Macchiavello took place on Saturday. Alex Glaude has withdrawn from her 72 kg women’s freestyle series with Amit Elor because of a serious injury. Now, we have delays in the Woods/Bo Bassett series and Guilford/Welker.
