The Class of 2027 Recruiting Deep Dive

Fargo is over. Junior Duals seem like a distant memory. College football season is rapidly approaching, as well. From a wrestling standpoint, with college football looming, that means official visits are about to ramp up. Some have taken place here and there, but coaches like to plan for their biggest recruiting weekends to coincide with marquee home football games. On campus visits lead to new verbal commitments.

With all of that in mind, before recruiting really heats up again, it’s the appropriate time to take a deep dive into the Class of 2027.

It’s true that most of the biggest names are already off the board. In fact, there is only one top 50 recruit in the country that is currently without a commitment. Let’s face it, we’re in a different era for college sports, so you can’t assume that the other 49 wrestlers will stand pat. And with new eligibility rules, perhaps some are already reconsidering their commitments.

In addition, there are still plenty of excellent ranked recruits on the marketplace along with some diamonds in the rough.

Our Class of 2027 deep dive will include the following elements:

• Recent Big Board Commitments
• Ranked Wrestlers Likely to Move Up After Fargo
• Unranked Wrestlers Potentially Making the Big Board after Fargo
• Committed Big Boarder’s By Team
• Best Available Big Boarder’s
• Commitments for Other Sports
• Highest Ranked via State
• Rankings via Projected Collegiate Weights

Of course none of this is possible without the rankings from the MatScouts Class of 2027 Big Board. You already know this, but they’re the best in the game.
