The Open is always an important part of the freestyle and Greco-Roman calendar. This year it carries even more significance as Open winners at a weight class with a 2022 world medalist returning will earn a place in Final X. No World Team Trials needed!
They will be necessary in weights without a 2022 world medalist. This will be the case for only two weights in men's freestyle (61/125kg) as the United States did not have world medalists at those weights.
