Fantasy College Wrestling - 2025 Season Top 20 (133 lbs)

As the school year winds down to a close, the end of year awards and accolades start getting passed out for a season well-done.

As for us in Fantasy D1 Wrestling, the data has been processed, the charts have been reviewed, and the evaluations are complete. The breakdown of the Top Fantasy Wrestlers of the 2025 season is here to help you start your 2025 season research.

Just like in the past few years, some names are going to be expected, while a lot more may not be. That's the beauty of Fantasy Wrestling, where any wrestler can be the star of the weekend and win the dual for you.

To compile these lists, we used standard WrestleStat Fantasy College Wrestling Data & Scoring. Just a reminder of how points were tallied in WrestleStat leagues:

    1) The scoring used was standard team scoring across all competitions (+3 for a win by decision, -4 for a loss by major, etc)

    2) Scoring only counted against D1 competition

    3) Wins via forfeits (FFT) would count as +6 towards a wrestler's point total

    4) Wins or losses by medical forfeit (MFF) did not count as + or - towards a wrestler's point total

    5) Points were only accumulated during the regular season

    Notes:

For a time during the season, he was leading Division I in pins and finished the 2025 season at number 6 on the falls leaderboard (with a best time of 10 pins in 8:39 minutes). Max Leete used those 10 pins (along with his 34 total matches) to take the top spot at 133 while in redshirt.

Tying at 75 Fpts was Braxton Brown and Tyler Knox, with Brown winning the #2 slot by PPM and having only two losses compared to Knox’s four.

Nic Bouzakis has been a mainstay in the fantasy Top 20 for the past couple years, and the tradition continues this year with him at the #6 position. However teammate Ben Davino put in a better season, besting Bouzakis’ point total by 12 Fpts.

Spots 6 through 13 are all separated by one match between 62 Fpts and 56 Fpts.

With six losses during the regular season, meaning a -25 FPts, TK Davis finished as the #9 fantasy wrestler at 133. Two of those losses were by pin and the other four by decision, where if one of those matches were only lost by decision, he would have tied Bouzakis in points and been #7.

National finalist Drake Ayala had the least amount of matches within the Top 20, but still was able to come in at #11. Ayala had one loss to Tyler Knox , a shootout where Ayala lost 15-10 on November 9th. But had he won that match, Ayala would have jumped to 7th and Knox would have fallen to 6th.

Knox and Ayala were the only 2025 AAs to make the Top 20.

Bookending the Top 20 is another American wrestler in Raymond Lopez. In the first half of the season, Lopez wrestled nine matches, and won six by pin, one by injury default, and one by major. Two of those pins were against non-D1 wrestlers (don't count for Fantasy) and the remaining match was a loss by MFF (which in basic scoring also doesn't count). Despite this hot start, Lopez would finish the second half 10-9 which cut into those early season profits.

    Who Missed The Cut:

National Champion Lucas Byrd (ILL) was the first man out of the Top 20, with 48 Fpts. Like Ayala, he only had one loss during the regular season (which, coincidentally, was Ayala himself), and had he won would have jumped all the way to #14.

Connor McGonagle (VT) and Zeth Romeny (CP) finished #24 and #25, respectively, tied with 46 Fpts. The difference was McGonagle’s PPM of 3.5 in 13 matches compared to Romney’s 2.9 in 16 matches.

Surprise AA and 14 seed Zan Fugitt (WISC) finished at #31 with 40 Fpts, overcoming a five loss season (-18 Fpts) and one non-D1 match.

Lastly, Jacob Van Dee (NEB) came in at #51 with 21 Fpts, while Braden Davis (PSU) had 20 Fpts with his 11 matches (good for #53).

Other notables include Dylan Shawver (RUT) and Anthony Noto tied at #22 with 47 Fpts (both with 23 matches), Kurt Phipps (BUCK) at #28 with 43 Fpts, Kai Orine (NCST) at #35 with 32 Fpts, Tyler Wells (MINN) at #42 with 23 Fpts, Ryan Crookham (LEH) at #57 with 19 Fpts (in 5 matches), and Dylan Ragusin (MICH) at #60 with 17 Fpts (in 9 matches).
