Transfer Portal Update (4/16/2025)

The early portion of this week saw a bunch of movement in the transfer portal. Not as many All-Americans committing to new transfer destinations; however, there were plenty of solid movements that should benefit both the wrestler and his new team. Some of those may include Joe Fongaro to App State, Spencer Moore to Illinois, Colton Washleski to Virginia. Of course, we kicked off yesterday with the news that Lachlan McNeil was headed to Michigan. And in ACC news, the biggest name to enter the portal yesterday was NC State’s Dylan Fishback. Fishback has two years of eligibility remaining and has made the bloodround in each of his first two NCAA seasons. 

Love it or hate it, it’s the reality. Student-athletes have the ability to transfer much more freely than past generations. Couple that with the extra year of eligibility doled out by the NCAA in the aftermath of the COVID years and you have a wild combination. There was lots of movement last “offseason” and I don’t foresee that changing this year. 

The first list of wrestlers we’ve listed have already publicly committed to a new transfer destination. That new school is listed first, along with their projected weight, followed by their former school.
