Abdurakhmanov makes it into the rankings at #6 off, beating #7 Alexey Kopylov in the finals after Kopylov had upset Yarygin runner-up #8 Musa Mekhtikhanov earlier. Bronze medalists at U-23 Russian Nationals were Petr Kopylov by 10-0 tech fall over Magomed Gazigadanov and #8 Musa Mekhtikhanov by 11-4 decision over Akhmed Khuchiev.

Artur Chebodaev debuts in the rankings at #3 after winning the U-23 Russian Nationals over Akhmed Zubairov. Zubairov is in the rankings at #4 for defeating Junior world bronze medalist #5 Fedor Baltuev earlier in the competition. Chebodaev also notched an impressive win over 2019 57 KG Alans bronze medalist Alexander Sabanov in the semis. Bronze medalists at the U-23 Russian Nationals were #7 Fedor Baltuev by 12-0 tech fall over Said Khunkerov and Alexander Sabanov over Kezhik Mongush 11-0.

#2 Zagir Shakhiev won Senior world gold with a dominant 14-4 tech fall victory over Amirmohammad Yazdani Charati (IR).
2020 61 KG Russian Nationals bronze medalist Ibragim Abdurakhmanov was able to come out on top of an absolutely brutal bracket to claim gold at the U-23 Russian Nationals. Abdurakhmanov overcame 2018 Alans champion Muslim Saidulaev 5-3 in the finals. Saidulaev was impressive in his own right on his way to the finals, taking out 2019 61 KG Russian Nationals bronze medalist Dinislam Takhtarov in the semifinals. Takhtarov was also someone who had an impressive run, upsetting Yarygin champion #6 Alik Khadartsev on his way to the semifinals. In what was the final surprising upset from the U-23 Russian Nationals, Usman Shakhgiriev put on an absolute clinic in a 12-3 victory over Dinislam Takhtarov for bronze. Ibragim Ibragimov was the other bronze medalist by way of a 5-0 win over Dzhambulat Kizinov.
U-23 Russian Nationals saw a new rotation of young talent take their rightful spots in the rankings. Ibragim Abdurakhmanov sits at 6, Muslim Saidulaev at #7, Usman Shakhgiriev at #8 and Dinislam Takhtarov at #9, while Yarygin champ #6 Alik Khadartsev falls four spots to #10. Abdurakhamnov, Saidulaev, Shakhgiriev and Takhtarov being in the rankings means that an extremely talented pack of wrestlers in 2019 Russian Nationals runner-ups Nachyn Kuular and Ramazan Ferzaliev along with 2018 Russian Nationals bronze medalist Dasha Sharastepanov and Yarygin bronze medalist Chaiian Mongush were removed from the rankings.
Three-time Russian Nationals medalist Nachyn Kuular beat Ali Aliev bronze medalist Artur Badtiev 1-1 on criteria at the All-Army competition.

#4 Timur Bizhoev won bronze at the World Championships with a thrilling 8-6 victory over 2018 world runner-up #9 Avtandil Kentchadze (GEO). 2019 Russian Nationals champion #3 Magomed Kurbanaliev tech falled Sayin Kazyryk 10-0 at the All-Army competition.
#5 (70) Cherman Valiev made a successful return to 74 KG by winning the U-23 Russian Nationals over Magomet Kardanov and took the #6 spot in the rankings. Valiev, a Russian Nationals champion in 2020 at 70 KG, was especially impressive on his way to the finals by taking out Yarygin champion #6 Aznaur Tavaev and Umar Mutaliev on his way to the finals. Mutaliev was someone else with a tournament run to appreciate, as he beat #6 Aznaur Tavaev 10-4 for bronze and notched a win over Ali Aliev runner-up #8 Saipulla Alibulatov as well to enter the rankings at #7. Also taking bronze at the U-23 Russian Nationals was Magomet Yevloyev by pin over Mokhamad Nasirkhaev.

Finishing with bronze medals at the U-23 Russian Nationals was #8 Khokh Khugaev 4-2 over Mikhail Zhmykhov and Aslanbek Gazzaev 2-2 over David Kabisov.
