Wrestling is scheduled for Friday evening at 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
This year's East Coast Duals features 14 Division II teams and Delaware Valley College, a Division III national power, competing in a dual meet format. Pitt Johnstown, the #5-ranked team in Division II, highlights six nationally-ranked teams competing. Newberry (SC) College is ranked #12, while Carson-Newman (TN) College is #14, West Liberty State (WV) College is #15, Mercyhurst College is #17 and Kutztown University is #20. Also competing are American International (MA) College, Anderson (SC) College, Belmont Abbey (NC) College, Gannon University, Limestone (SC) College, North Carolina-Pembroke, St. Andrews Presbyterian (SC) College and Shippensburg University.
Along with nationally-ranked teams, many wrestlers are individually-ranked, including four from Pitt Johnstown. Mike Corcetti (Export, Pa.) is the #1-ranked wrestler at 184 lbs. and Eli Garshnick (Armagh, Pa.) is ranked #2 at 174 lbs. Shane Valko (Windber, Pa.) (141 lbs.) and Mike Fowler (197 lbs.) (Carrolltown, Pa.) are both ranked #4 for the Mountain Cats.
At 133 lbs., Jake Brumbelow (Carson-Newman) is #4, Matt Mossor (West Liberty State) is #7 and Joe Kemmerer (Kutztown) is #8. Valko is #4 at 141 lbs., followed by #6 Tony Washington (Newberry) and #7 Doug Surra (West Liberty State). Kutztown's Chris Chambers and Mercyhurst's Don Cummings are ranked #7 and #8, respectively at 149 lbs., while Andy Lamancusa (Mercyhurst) is the #8-ranked wrestler at 157 lbs. Newberry's Brandon Kelly is #5 at 165 lbs.
The 174-lb. weight class has four ranked wrestlers, Garshnick is #2, Zach Shaffer (Mercyhurst) is #3, Tom Clark (West Liberty State) is #4 and Quinn Tobert (Newberry) is #7. At 184 lbs, three of the top four wrestlers will be at the tournament. Corcetti is the top-ranked wrestler, while Shippensburg's Mark Murphy is #2 and Carson-Newman's Nate Jones is #4.
Fowler and Chris Taylor (West Liberty State) are #4 and #5, respectively at 197 lbs., while Anderson's Aaron Lambert is the #7-ranked wrestler at heavyweight.
