Brett Pfarr edged Aaron Brooks 5-5 on criteria in the 86-kilogram consolation semifinals of Senior Nationals in December. It was a back-and-forth affair, with Pfarr racing out to a 3-0 lead, before Brooks battled back to take the lead in the second period on criteria. Pfarr responded with a go-ahead takedown with just over 30 seconds left and fought off a late scoring attempt by Brooks.
On Oct. 20, the two Big Ten finalists will meet again at the second NLWC event on Rokfin. It's the second match announced for the card. On Monday, it was announced that Jason Nolf would take on Bubba Jenkins.

Pfarr, a two-time All-American and NCAA finalist at Minnesota, finished fourth at Senior Nationals and fourth at the Bill Farrell International. At the Bill Farrell, Pfarr defeated 2017 world silver medalist Boris Makoev of Slovakia in the quarterfinals.
Brooks is coming off a strong freshman season at Penn State. He claimed a Big Ten title at 184 pounds and earned a No. 3 seed at the NCAAs that were canceled due to the spread of COVID-19. In freestyle, Brooks won a gold medal at the 2017 Cadet World Championships and the next year finished a silver medalist at the Junior World Championships. He placed sixth at the 2019 Senior Nationals.
