Utah Valley Adds Chamberlain to Coaching Staff

Utah Valley recently announced a new coaching hire. Not necessarily a new face, though. Jason Chamberlain will return to the Wolverine coaching staff for the 2026-27 season.

Chamberlain spent the 2021-22 season on the Utah Valley staff under previous head coach Greg Williams. Over the two years, Chamberlain has been the head coach of the Brunson Utah Valley RTC. Before his initial stint on the Utah Valley staff, Chamberlain spent five years as an assistant coach at Fresno State.

With Chamberlain’s addition, there are now three Boise State alums on the Utah Valley staff. Head Coach Adam Hall, along with Andrew Hochstrasser and Chamberlain.

While at Boise State, Chamberlain won three Pac-12 championships and earned All-American honors on two occasions. He was third as a junior and finished his career as a national finalist in 2013 at 149 lbs.

During his Senior level career, Chamberlain won a Pan-American title, the US Open, qualified for two Olympic Trials, and was a participant in the very first Final X event.

Chamberlain is a Utah native and won four high school state titles before heading to Boise State.

Utah Valley had a vacancy on its staff after Timmy McCall took the head coaching position at The Citadel earlier this offseason.

In two years under Hall’s leadership, the Wolverines produced an All-American in 2025 and sent five wrestlers to the national tournament in 2026. Utah Valley starts the 2026-27 campaign with three returning national qualifiers.
