Pullano needed to win in an extra "true-second" match to seal his automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
As a team, the Monarchs finished second overall, to Hofstra University. Tallying 89 points, the ODU wrestling team finished 4.5 points ahead of Rider University for second place.
