The difference in the match came from a pin in the 157-pound match by Purple Raider sophomore Austin Rush (Troy/Miami East).
Mount Union (12-8, 3-1 OAC) had jumped out to a 6-0 lead on decision victories from sophomore Nick Mancini (Boardman/Boardman) at 125 pounds and sophomore Alec Cotton (Hartville/Lake) at 133 pounds.
Heidelberg (6-10, 2-2 OAC) came back with wins at 141 and 149 to tie match before Rush scored a second period pin at 157.
The Raiders then got a pair of close wins - a 6-3 win from freshman Tony Rupert (Alliance/Marlington) at 165 pounds then a 2-0 win from senior Aaron Page (Salem/West Branch) at 197 - to hold off Heidelberg for the three-point win.
Mount Union wraps up the regular season next Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. with an OAC dual at John Carroll in University Heights.
