    Memorial service announced for Cumberland U. champ Keith Cupp

    A memorial service has been announced for Keith M. Cupp, first national champ in any sport at Cumberland University of Tennessee, who died Sunday, July 22 at age 35.

    Services will take place Saturday, August 18 at the Obetz Church of the Nazarene, 4101 Groveport Road, Columbus, Ohio. Visitation will take place from 1:00-2:00 p.m., with memorial service from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available from 3:30-5:00 p.m.

    Cupp won the 174-pound title for Cumberland University at the 2005 NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) National Wrestling Championships, becoming the Lebanon, Tennessee school's first national wrestling champion, and the first individual national champion at the school in any sport.

    Prior to attending Cumberland, Cupp claimed back-to-back 152-pound Division II titles for Hamilton Township High School at the 2000 and 2001 Ohio High School State Wrestling Championships.
