The Terps trailed 10-11 following the sixth match, but Mookie Golden, No. 9 Alex Krom, Jon Kohler and Kyle John notched victories as Maryland scored 12 straight points to end the match.
"It was a great atmosphere and we had some hard-fought victories," said head coach Kerry McCoy. "It's huge to get this win and end the regular season with this momentum. It's great because our guys are wrestling better and with more confidence every day."
No. 3 Hudson Taylor improved to 36-2 this season with a victory over defending ACC Champion Brent Jones, who is ranked 18th in the nation at 197 pounds.
The focus now shifts to the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament, as Maryland and Virginia Tech both finished the season 4-0 in conference action. The Terps improved their case for high seeds in the tournament at a number of weight classes; Taylor, No. 14 Josh Asper, Kyle John and Patrick Gilmore all finished the season 4-0 in conference duals.
The ACC Championship will be held March 6 in Raleigh, N.C. Tickets are just $10 for adults and $5 for children, and can be purchased here.
