2026 Preseason: A Look at Lock Haven

With just under two months until the college regular season starts, we’ll turn most of our focus to the collegiate wrestling world. There will be lots of previews and content to get fans ready for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

Today, we’ll focus on a Lock Haven team that went 13-5 last season and finished second at the MAC Championships. Four Bald Eagle wrestlers qualified for nationals and the team put one wrestler on the NCAA podium. They accomplished that feat in three out of the last four seasons.

Lock Haven is led by Scott Moore, who begins his 14th season at the helm for the Bald Eagles. During the 2025-26 campaign, Moore picked up his 100th career win as a head coach. In his 13 years with Lock Haven, Moore has seen six different wrestlers combine to earn All-American honors on eight occasions.

In 2026-27, Lock Haven can feature a lineup that includes three wrestlers with past NCAA experience and a handful of others who have been on the cusp of NCAA qualification status. As usual, Lock Haven should be in the hunt or perhaps favored to win the 2027 MAC title.

Here’s a look at a projected lineup for Lock Haven along with additional information needed for the 2026-27 season.

125 lbs - Curtis Nelson

The Bald Eagles return their 125 lb starter from a year ago in Curtis Nelson.
