    Harvard holds off Bucknell

    LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Harvard wrestling team won five matches at Bucknell, including three by pin, as the Crimson toppled the Bison, 26-21, Saturday afternoon.

    Jeffrey Ott earned the first victory of the day for the Crimson (4-2, 2-1 EIWA), as he pinned Grimaldi Gonzalez at the 3:31 mark at 133, tying the team score, 6-6. Seventh-ranked Todd Preston followed with a pin of his own, taking down Tyler Smith with 10 seconds left remaining in the 141 lbs. match, making it 12-6.

    At 149, Patrick Hogan held off Victor Lopez, 7-4, and Tyler Tarsi followed with a 17-0 technical fall victory against Zach Kelly at 157, as Harvard stretched its lead to 20-6. Devon Gobbo collected Harvard's third pin of the day as he defeated Robert Schlitt at 2:06 in the 165 match, 26-6.

    Bucknell (6-5, 2-2 EIWA) won the four final matches, but Harvard's lead was too large to overcome.

    Up next, the Crimson will head to New York to face Columbia Friday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m.
