The night included some huge wins by Clackamas and none bigger than that of David Douglas High School standout Ihoughama Odihizuwa as he took down the No. 1-ranked wrestler in the nation with a convincing 8-4 win. Also, getting the folks fired up was Eleazar DeLuca's handling of No. 3 Nico Moreno.
"I am incredibly proud of all of our kids from the red shirts through starters as they have worked very hard to get to where they are at right now and to avenge each of the early December losses was huge," said Clackamas coach Josh Rhoden. "We told our guys that now we can either let everyone catch us or we can widen the gap. Our hope is that these guys continue to respond like they have all year and continue to make gains."
