Staley recorded an early takedown at 184 pounds before completing the bout with a pin at 1:52. Leinberger followed with a forfeit win at 197, and Pattanite earned a 10-3 decision at 285. He broke open a close bout with a takedown at the 18-second mark of the second period and added an escape, a takedown and a riding time point to give the Bullets (2-3-1) their first lead of the match at 21-19 after eight weight classes.
Cyclones' (5-4-1) freshman William Martinez picked up a forfeit at 125, and junior Ricky Redd completed the victory with a fall at 133.
The match started at 141 pounds, where Centenary sophomore Anthony Accardi recorded a major decision. Kyle Nasdeo won by decision at 149, and following a pin by Gettysburg sophomore Andrew Goldstein (Easton, Pa./Easton) at 157, the Cyclones picked up falls from junior Jared Duffy and senior Seth Wisner at 165 and 174, respectively.
The Bullets will return to action on Saturday when they host a four-team Centennial Conference event at Bream Gymnasium. Gettysburg will wrestle dual matches against Muhlenberg and Ursinus. Johns Hopkins will also participate in the meet, which begins at 12 p.m.
