The Camels moved to 6-1 overall and 4-1 SoCon duals, while VMI dropped to 3-12 on the season and 2-3 in conference action. Campbell also remained perfect at home, moving to 3-0 in Buies Creek in 2018-19.
The 35-point win marked Campbell's second-largest margin of victory this season, just a point short of its 40-4 win over Gardner-Webb.
CU picked up pins from No. 15 Noah Gonser at 133 pounds, No. 8 Josh Heil at 149 and Benjamin Barton at 157 to jump out to a 28-0 lead in the match.
Freshman Cameron Pine added a 10-2 major decision at 165 pounds for his first dual victory of the season, and Chris Kober added another major decision at 184, 11-3 over Max Gallahan.
Korbin Meink started the day with an 8-2 decision over Derek Shockey at 125 pounds, and Nathan Boston followed with a 9-3 win over Cliff Conway at 141. Also picking up decisions in the win were Austin McNeill (3-1) at 197, and Odgerel Batkhishig (11-5) to close it out at heavyweight.
No. 18 Neal Richards posted a win for VMI, giving Campbell's No. 17 Andrew Morgan his first dual loss of the season, 14-7, in the day's only matchup of nationally ranked opponents.
The Camels close out the regular season on February 24, hosting Davidson at Gore Arena. With one SoCon dual remaining, the Camels can still notch a share of the conference regular season title.
The 2019 SoCon Championships will be March 10 in Boone, N.C., hosted by Appalachian State.
