    Indiana prevails over Maryland

    COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- It came down to the final match of the dual and the Indiana Wrestling team overcame Maryland for a 19-16 win on Sunday.

    Notes
    • The Hoosiers improve to 1-6 on the season and 1-5 in the Big Ten. Maryland falls to 2-11 overall and 0-5 in the Big Ten.
    • The Hoosiers won the first four bouts in the dual match and six bouts overall.
    • Liam Cronin started the match for the Hoosiers with a 13-4 major decision. Cronin has won three straight matches, including two of those three against ranked opponents.
    • Freshman Eddie Bolivar won his first Big Ten dual match bout of his career with a 6-4 decision.
    • Despite a setback against Rutgers, Graham Rooks picked up a win and has now won four of his last five matches.
    • Two of the Hoosiers three true freshman in the lineup secured victories (Eddie Bolivar, Cayden Rooks).
    • Rudy Streck finished off the match for Indiana with three crucial points to secure the win. Streck picked up his first Big Ten win with an 8-3 decision. The dual was tied 16-16 going into the final match of the day at heavyweight and Streck came out on top to give the Hoosiers the 19-16 victory.
