Just over a week ago, we reported on 2025 NCAA champion Vince Robinson hitting the transfer portal. Now, he has announced his transfer destination. Robinson will transfer to Nebraska for his final two years of eligibility.
Robinson captured his national title with a 2-1 win in tiebreakers over Oklahoma State’s Troy Spratley. This year, Spratley knocked Robinson off in the Round of 16; however, he bounced back to beat Spratley in the consolation semifinals, before settling into fourth place.
To confirm his second straight All-American honor, Robinson got over the hump against former conference rival Eddie Ventresca (Virginia Tech) in the bloodround. Ventresca had won the previous four meetings between the two.
While the Huskers returned a national qualifier at 125 lbs (Kael Lauridsen), inserting Robinson gives them five returning All-Americans. They also have two 2025 national champions with Robinson and 157 lber Antrell Taylor.
Nebraska has finished third and second at the last two NCAA Tournaments. With the Robinson pickup, they should be fighting for another NCAA team trophy.
