On Friday afternoon, we got the long awaited transfer announcement from three-time All-American Meyer Shapiro. As expected, Shapiro will join Nebraska - a different version of the Big Red, as he started his collegiate career at another school with the same nickname, Cornell.
With Shapiro’s announcement, we now have seven past All-Americans who have transferred during the 2026 offseason. In this new landscape of collegiate athletics, this seems like a normal figure and one that we’ll continue to see in the coming years.
Below, we’ve listed those seven All-Americans who will join new programs this fall.
Looking at the list of transfers, one thing that stands out is Nebraska. Not only did the Cornhuskers bring in Shapiro, but they also added a national champion (Vince Robinson) and a two-time All-American (Anthony Echemendia).
There could be additional transfers who make an impact that haven’t AA’ed yet across the country, so these are just the most obvious moves.
Each wrestler has been listed at their 2026 weight. A couple are expected to change weights in 2026-27.
