    RAF Summer Card Updates

It’s a busy time to follow Real American Freestyle (RAF)! For the first time in the organization’s short history, they will have two events in the same months, followed by a one-year anniversary show in August. With RAF Georgia (July 11th) and RAF 11 (July 18th) right around the corner, the organization is putting the final touches on each card.

Yesterday, RAF made one change to the Georgia card before announcing it was finalized. Featherweight champion Real Woods had to push back his Final X match with Bo Bassett and predictably, was removed from the Georgia card. Taking his place against Asian bronze medalist Alibeg Alibegov is four-time NCAA All-American Brock Hardy. Hardy’s freestyle matches tend to feature a lot of points, so this should be a great debut.

After Final X, RAF has been furiously adding and announcing matches for the RAF 11 card in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Some of the new matches include:

    • A new women’s division (cruiserweight) featuring a match between American legend Adeline Gray and current top contender Skylar Grote.
    • They didn’t meet for true third at Final X, but Austin DeSanto will have his bantamweight belt on the line versus Ben Davino.
    • Returning world champion Trent Hidlay will face Azerbaijan’s Magomedkhan Magomedov, an Olympic bronze medalist and former world finalist.
    • Wisconsin native Aeoden Sinclair takes on 2024 Olympic champion Magomed Ramazanov, who wrestles for Bulgaria.
    • Patrick Downey and Zac Braunagel were supposed to scrap on the RAF 10 card, but that match was pulled in the days leading up to the event. Now, it will happen on RAF 11.

There’s still space for another couple of matches on the RAF 11 card, so announcements for those will likely be made at some point this week.

RAF 12 got a massive addition to the anniversary card yesterday. Three-time NCAA champion and current UFC star, Bo Nickal, will tangle with 2026 NCAA champion Max McEnelly. We had a feeling this was coming as McEnelly was on social media last week nudging Nickal to sign the paperwork to make this match happen. Nickal defeated Jacob Cardenas at the RAF 01 show, but hasn’t wrestled with the organization since then. About a month ago, RAF announced McEnelly’s signing, so this will be his professional debut.
