With the Flo hammer, the head flies off every 30 seconds and either gets you in the balls or lands on your toes.4 points
-
And even worse is when their stuff doesn't work properly with their own app and thus have to use the brower. By the way, how often do you have to go to Home Depot to buy a hammer? If it were a Rokfin hammer you'd have to pay extra each time you wanted to use it, they'd prob charge double for pulling nails.4 points

The computer/tablet/phone, operating system, software are merely tools. In this case, tools to watch wrestling matches. Like I always say when I go to Home Depot to buy a hammer, I don't care what steel the head is made from, how it's heat treated, whether its cast, forged, machined, etc, etc. I'm only interested in driving nails, and occasionally pulling nails. I can trust that that hammer will drive steel, aluminum, brass nails. I'm sure I can even persuade stubborn fasteners with it. Yes, I realize that there are different hammers for different purposes and that a computer is much more complicated than a hammer, etc, etc, but the concept still applies. Expecting your customer to do your engineering for you is BS. IMO, Whoever accepts money from the end customer is ultimately responsible for the product meeting the customer's expectations and requirements. For F*#ks sake if you filled your car up with gas and a mile down the road it quit running and it was because your car is a Honda and that gas only works for Fords and Chevys (maybe...we're not really sure because we didn't test that, that's our customers' responsibility), you would not be happy. At least that's the way it was in my 40+ years of Engineering.4 points

What?? I'm paying $200 for this and would hope that I can view the content without having to constantly adjust to Flo's deficiencies. (I know how to change browsers) And that's without mentioning the real issue, which is absolutely dreadful technical and aesthetic production. If there was any actual competition, they'd be OOB very quickly.4 points

2 attack posts in a row is an attack then re-attack If you respond and he attacks , it is a counter attack. If he is clearly proven wrong and doesn't respond it's a MedFFT If he is clearly proven wrong and does respond, it's most likely an off-topic fake attack to not get called for stalling.3 points

Oh shit, ban basketball is back? Good dual meet. Spencer likely gets the tech if the ref doesn't stop him for potentially dangerous, but no doubt he didn't look great after that. He did dig deep for another nice TD in the third. The standard Lee is held to is incredible, though. He did still major his opponent in a big spot in his first match in a year in CTver after double ACL surgeries. Maybe calm down, as has been pointed out, Lee historically has not had the greatest tank early. I loved all the pageantry and shit talk, but I do get a kick out of one guy calling Woods a douche (and others expressing similar feelings) for....not liking getting clubbed multiple times after the whistle, I guess, but not much consternation over Bastida's theatrics. Either way. Good dual, never really in doubt even with Iowa State winning all the tossups (pr semitossups.) Most impressive Clone (other than Carr) was Paniro Johnson. Most impressive Hawk was Cass, but after that Nelson Brands looked really good, as did Real Woods. Warner, in a loss, showed more juice from neutral so hopefully he can build from that.3 points

Why would they need to? They shake hands before the dual, before the match, and after the match. What would we be looking to gain from a 4th (if not more) handshake.3 points

This got discussed in FRL I think. It lingered in my mind. Reattack — re …. Means to do it again. Attack once, attack again. Chain wrestling in a way. Counter attack …. Attacking post an attack by an opponent. Wrestler A shoots, adjusts, shoots again — a reattack. Wrestler A shoots, starts to back out, and wrestler B gets his own shot off at that time … a counter attack. Differs from a simple counter movement (like a shin whizzer). It is a counter attack. What say you?2 points

Also God is getting tired of Aaron Brooks asking for favors. Will he still be as good without that special treatment?2 points

I've never had ACL surgery, but I'm guessing after having double ACL surgery it's hard to do cardio2 points
-
Your points are valid but honestly, why is there so much drama surrounding Lee's performance? Were folks seriously expecting more, 11 months post double knee surgery? To me, he looked eggsactly as eggspected: like someone who has done minimal training for the better part of 2 years.2 points

Let's talk about the weight shift that Minnesota did in the last two weight classes. When is the last time in D1 wrestling when two guys shift up a weight from where they were a couple days ago and beat two higher ranked guys. Foy, the backup at 184 moves up and beats Surber and Joles #28 at 197 beats #18 Doucet at Hwt.2 points
-
That he is the backup for a reason, and as a backup wrestling a three time national champ who is also a two time Hodge winner wrestling with the ultimate home mat advantage, he did damn good.2 points
-
It wasn't even Terukina who took him down it was the Iowa State BACKUP, Cabanban. Lee gassed horribly. He was no where near ready to wrestle.2 points

Ah, yes, another one who never read the Mueller report. You'll be surprised what it'll tell you. I sure was. Makes one wonder why Deuce said his "presidency" is fu$%ed" (exact words), why Deuce fired Lock Him Up Flynn, and why Flynn was imprisoned for lying to the FBI about his communications with Russia.2 points

For the first time in a long time I am very proud to say that I’m *only* 40 and had to google what that was because I am too young to know what you were talking about. Thanking you for making my day - my hips, back, and at least one shoulder thank you!2 points

Kudos to Brands on the smart edge wrestling —- after nearly getting Td worlds up to body lock and gets 2 and 2 on edge.2 points

I was going to post this list early this morning, but no time. I'll add some thoughts on this. This competitor list is not complete yet. I've counted 17 high school competitors that have qualified this this event. -At 50kg, I think there's a typo there. Nanami Irie usually competes at 53kg and her sister, Yuki Irie competes at 50kg. Yuki won the All Japan Women's Open at 50kg and said she intended to compete for the 2023 spot. Nanami is missing from the 53kg list. Nanami is definitely not beating Susaki or Yoshimoto if that is no typo. I still think Susaki wins this weight. -53kg, no surprises. Going to be the best weight to watch at the Emperor's Cup for sure. Between Shidochi, Fujinami and Okuno there are 6 senior world titles and 1 Olympic title. Don't know who will win here, but if Shidochi trains again with Susaki, I think Shidochi will have the edge. Susaki is faster than Fujinami the best training partner anybody can get at the lower weights. -55kg, Moe Kiyooka not going to go back down to 53kg somewhat surprising considering she went 53kg in a domestic tournament right before U23 and lost to Okuno. Okuno won that giant, 44 wrestler weight class. However, not surprising about Kiyooka because she would lose to Okuno again, already lost to Shidochi badly and definitely not beating Fujinami. Another factor is her competing at the World Cup and having to drop down to 53kg in two weeks. She's obviously the favorite to win 55kg *at this tournament*, but not the spot if any of the top 53kg bump up next year. 57kg- This comes down to Tsugumi Sakurai and Sara Natami and I see Tsugumi winning again. Not shocking that Risako isn't down at 57kg yet. She came back the other month and won an open tournament at 59kg since she hadn't competed since the Olympics. She's definitely not in tip top wrestling shape yet even though she's been training with her sister a lot. I can guarantee she'll go 57kg next year at the Meiji Cup to try and win the tournament and force a playoff match. She'll be the favorite at 59. 59kg- Risako will win this weight. Nothing surprising at 62 kg. As predicted Sakura Motoki(2022 senior bronze at 59kg) bumped up, but she's not beating Ozaki and I don't think she beats Kawai. I think as of right now, Ozaki is a very close 3rd best on Japan's senior team behind (1st)Susaki and (2nd)Shidochi. You have to remember that in the span of SIX months, she soundly defeated Olympic silver and defending 62kg WC from Oslo(Tynybekova) at the Asian Championships(Avenging the loss to Tynybekova in Oslo right at the end of the match). Beat the reigning 62kg Olympic champion for the team spot(Yukako Kawai). Easily won U20 and then won the senior world title pretty easily while defeating Tynybekova again in the semis. To cap it off, won U23 easily. Despite UWW's article error, she's still 19. I think she beats Kawai and Kawai retires. As stated, the career of a womens freestyle wrestler in Japan is very short. -Nothing surprising at 65kg. Reigning senior WC Miwa Morikawa bumped up to 68. I'm pretty sure none of the listed competitors at 65 have been on a senior world team. -Nothing surprising at 68kg. Morikawa bumped *back* up. She had lost a playoff match to Sara Dosho to go to the Tokyo Olympics at 68kg a few years ago. Furuichi back down, Matsuyuki there as well as 2021 Olso Silver, Rin Miyaji. Google translate is not 100% correct in translations. I think it comes down to Ami Ishii(2022 senior silver) and Morikawa. I think Ishii slightly edges Morikawa out since Morikawa hasn't wrestled 68kg in close to 3 years. -At 72kg, not surprised that Niikura is staying at 72kg. Tweener for sure. Too big for 68kg and too small for 76g. Not very mobile, either. I could see Shindo or Fujikura winning. That weight almost has 0 experience on their senior team at this weight except for Niikura and Shindo. -76kg I think their 2022 senior bronze(Kagami) will win this spot. She lost a really close match to Adar in the semis in Belgrade. I think the other wrestler here with senior team experience is Matsuyuki.1 point

Damn, when that many close or OT matches go against you, it’s just.. frustrating. Still think Poeta has Illinois on right track. But damn that’s frustrating.1 point
