Wrestling Operations Manager - Cornell University

The Wrestling Operations Manager coordinates the day-to-day administrative operations of Wrestling program, working closely with the coaches, student-athletes, and colleagues in the Department of Athletics & Physical Education. This position is fully engaged in all aspects of the Wrestling program. Tasks will include budget development and other financial services, scheduling and travel planning, community engagement and special events, student-athlete and competition-related support, as well as other duties as assigned by the head coach. We are seeking an organized, hardworking, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual with a flexible schedule.

Required Qualifications

-Associate’s Degree with two to three years of experience in a comparable role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Experience with event and operations management.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel primarily)

Preferred Qualifications

-Working knowledge of NCAA and Ivy League rules and procedures, or the ability to quickly learn such rules and procedures
-Working knowledge of Cornell University policies and procedures.
-Successful work experience at a highly-selective academic institution.

This is a 10-months per year, five-year fixed-term position; ability to extend dependent on continued funding, business need and performance. Starting salary range is $49,000 - $50,000 for 10 month position. There is not visa sponsorship available for this position.
