Men's and Women's Assistant Wrestling Coach

Albion College invites applications for the Men’s and Women’s Wrestling Assistant Coach position. We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to a campus climate that supports equity, diversity, and belonging. The Men’s and Women’s Wrestling Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach in all aspects of coaching and administering Albion College’s varsity men’s and women’s wrestling team. This includes (but not limited to) film break down, conditioning, technique training, mental preparation, and game plan preparation. In addition, the position also works closely with Admissions in recruiting students under the direction of his/her supervisor. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality. Albion College is an anti-racist institution. Albion College offers 26 intercollegiate sports as a NCAA Division III liberal arts institution and a member of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association. This position will be responsible for supporting the Head Coach in all aspects of leading Albion College’s


This position is eligible for full benefits including health/dental/vision insurance, retirement, tuition remission, and campus amenities including free on-site fitness facility, free parking, and access to campus events/performances.

FLSA Classification: Salaried / Exempt / Coaches

Employment Status: At-Will

Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time

Position Duration: 10 months per year (August - May)

Bachelor’s degree required; or ability to obtain a Bachelor's degree within first two years of employment

1 to 2 years of experience coaching at the varsity high school level or higher; or 4 to 5 years of combined experience as a NCAA athlete or student manager and competitive coach

Must have a valid, or be eligible to obtain, a Michigan driver’s license, clearing initial and periodic driving record checks, and become an approved driver at the College
