Summary and Scope of Position:
The Head Wrestling Coach is responsible for the administration and organization of a successful program that competes at the NCAA Division III level.

Specific Responsibilities:
Building and maintaining a successful program while providing a positive student-athlete experience
Planning and conducting practices, teaching and implementing skills and strategies, and player development
Hiring, supervising, and evaluating Assistant Coaches and/or Volunteer Coaches
Evaluation and recruitment of qualified student-athletes
Retention of quality student-athletes
Scheduling games, practices, team activities, transportation, team meals, etc.
Development and management of the program’s budget and fundraising efforts
Providing guidance to student-athletes regarding their academic and overall success
Alumni and community outreach
Campus, community, and media relations
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
1-3 years collegiate coaching experience preferred
Knowledge of rules and techniques of the sport
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, delegation and planning ability
Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
Experience with recruiting and fundraising
