Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach - Wyoming Seminary

Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School has an opening for an adjunct, part-time Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach.

The Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach reports directly to the Head Girls Wrestling Coach and is responsible for assisting the head coach with organizing the wrestling program with conducting practices, motivating students and instructing student-athletes in strategies and techniques. As a member of the athletic department, the successful candidate should be deeply committed to the entire student-athlete experience; including a combination of student advising and involvement in campus life with an expectation of living in a boarding school setting with the student-athletes.


Complies fully with all USA Wrestling, National Prep and Wyoming Seminary rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Assists the head coach in the development of a competitively successful wrestling team to represent Wyoming Seminary positively and responsibly.
Provides student-athletes the opportunity to participate in a culture in which they can achieve their academic, athletic and personal goals.
Develops instructional plans for individual student-athletes and the entire team, ensuring that special needs and issues as identified by the coaching staff are addressed.
Assists the head coach in providing leadership and instruction in the athletic development of student-athletes by counseling team members in academic, citizenship, sportsmanship and personal matters, as assigned.
Organizes and manages assigned recruiting efforts and administrative responsibilities.
Represents the team, department and school in a positive, professional and ethical manner; responds appropriately to media, marketing, fundraising and community service requests, as assigned.
Takes on other tasks as assigned by the Director of Wrestling Operations.

Must possess USA Wrestling Bronze Coaching certification.
Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational competence and the ability to meet deadlines.
Possesses flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with effective coaching techniques and skills.
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally for competitions.
