St. Paul's School (NH) Head Varsity Wrestling Coach
St. Paul’s School announces a search for a Head Wrestling coach to begin duties in November 2021 (August 2021 if part of full-time employment.) This position requires a desire to oversee the entire wrestling program during the winter season. The ability to teach the sport from both the technical and tactical perspective as well as developing a positive team culture are essential parts of the job. The successful candidate places a high priority on character development and sportsmanship and uses athletics as a tool to educate students. By using inter- scholastic competition and all related activities, this position serves as a teacher and mentor to help build student character, prepare students for a constructive and effective life, and teach valuable life lessons including work ethic; discipline; resilience; persistence; teamwork and selflessness; goal-setting and goal achievement; overcoming adversity; and leadership.
Recruiting players of strong academic standing, high character, excellent wrestling abilities and a desire to be part of the SPS community as well as helping to support them through the college process are also aspects of this position.
The ideal individual hired for this position will also contribute to the full experience as a boarding school faculty member with responsibility within another area of school life such as teaching or administration as well as an advising responsibility.
