Assistant Wrestling Coach / Stivers Center Staff
Carl Albert State College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Wrestling Coach/Stivers Center Staff at the Poteau campus. This position shares the responsibility of teaching the skills, fundamentals, and principles of the specific sport to both men’s and women’s teams. Teaching responsibilities include instruction of physical
health, team concepts, and safety. Mentored by the head coach, he/she will plan, organize, coordinate,
implement, and recruit the assigned athletic activity; also drive and/or supervise team members during away games. He/she will be accountable for a share of the Mick Thompson duties including camps, concessions/gate, tournaments, NJCAA match days, wrestling equipment, mats, and uniforms (including laundry). Assistant coaches are preferred to live on campus (room and partial board provided) to allow for monitoring student athletes, room checks, discipline and reporting team discipline, when necessary. Required Stivers Center hours
includes providing intramurals.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous coaching experience at the college level preferred and high school experience required
• Must demonstrate a dedication to the teaching function and show professional competence and
enthusiasm in the performance of all responsibilities

$ 21,500 annual, with full benefit package. Benefit package includes: Employer paid Medical, Dental,
Life, Long-term Disability, Oklahoma Teachers Retirement, Vacation and Sick days.
