Director of Programming

Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director, the Director of Programming  will play a critical  role in designing and overseeing programs that are outcome and impact driven for elementary, middle school and high school aged boys & girls. This person will oversee all aspects of BTS programs including the Academy, Junior League, Training Center as well as the relationship with New York City’s Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL).
Key Responsibilities:   
-Lead and supervise all aspects of the BTS Academy
Incorporate social-emotional learning into all program activities
-Manage all data collection & evaluation efforts
-Assist in the grant-writing process
-Manage the registration and reporting system and run reports
-Oversee annual program budgets
-Supervise four direct reports including the BTS Youth Director, BTS Head Boys Coach, BTS Girls Coach and the Americorpse Vista Program Associate
-The Director of Programming will work closely with the Director of Youth Programming and the PSAL Wrestling Commissioner
-Visit, evaluate, and assist middle school and high school wrestling programs
-Regularly attend training and competition events provided by Beat the Streets and the PSAL  
-Assist in event planning for various competitions, camps and clinics, and enrichment sessions
-Assist in middle school and high school recruiting efforts through the Gym Class Hero Program
-Commuting throughout New York City and on occasion, traveling to a competition or event outside of the City
-Ability to work evenings and weekends
-Non-Profit Management Experience (minimum of 3 years in a leadership role with supervisory experience)
-Bachelor’s Degree
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Highly organized with an attention to detail
-Strong supervisory skills
-Various certifications including CPR, First-Aid, Concussion Certified, USA Wrestling and Safe Sport (can complete upon being hired)
