• Salary of $35,000 - $42,000/year based on candidate experience and required skills
• Ten (10) paid vacation days, plus 13 paid holidays off
o One (1) additional accrued vacation day each year

General Purpose
The primary duties of this position are the execution and enhancement of all wrestling camps and associated ventures. This role is relied on to ensure the company’s core values are instilled, communicated and adhered to at every camp. This position also requires establishing related business projects that complement the JRIC camp model and philosophy.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
• Coordination of all camp(s) logistics to include:
o Primary liaison with facility administration on site.
o On-site management of all Intensive Camp programs during the summer
o Research and selection of current and future camp locations
o Negotiating contracts for facilities, equipment, salaries and food service
o Hiring, contracting, supervising, scheduling and managing all camp staff
o Maintaining relationships and compliance with facility regulations, schedules and procedures
o Design and conduct pre-camp staff education and training program
o Scheduling and facilitating camp athlete and staff transportation
o Direct camp check-in & check-out process
o Direct initial grouping of campers and other associated procedures
o Manage problems and difficulties that arise in the course of camp and camp preparation - adapt course as necessary
o Maintain practical communication and follow-up with specific location directors
o Help supervise camp director contractors at Intensive, Technique, and Competition camps
o Managing and assessing the daily workout plan of the campers while ensuring the practices are conducted in a safe, healthy manner
• Development of ongoing educational and certification programs for staff and trainers
o Develop and maintain a daily schedule of workouts consistent with the JRIC philosophy
o Overseeing and trouble-shooting any potential discipline issues with camp attendees
o Managing issues that arise at camp, serving as the main contact point; address and govern any problems that arise during camp with staff, camp athletes, school administration, parents and the public
o Ensuring all camper activities and facilities are organized, supervised and safe
o Responding in a timely and respectful manner to all requests made by staff, parents, facility personnel, camp office and others
o Supervise all staff/parent communication on site
o Contribute to Marketing and Merchandise Programs
• Assist, provide input, and work well with other departments within JRIC including marketing, merchandise, design, customer service, and management.
o Communicating with Merchandise Coordinator to ensure the best selection, stock and execution of camp store sales, policies and procedures. This includes direct involvement in the hiring of seasonal summer camp store manager
o Make recommendations for new and existing products for camp athletes, coaches and lifestyle wear for wrestling community
o Help develop, establish and implement marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives
o Attend, set-up and staff exhibits for trade shows, conventions, competitions and other relevant events
o Assist with producing, compiling and editing information for camp workbook and other materials given to camp athletes
o Contribute ideas for marketing content and design elements
• Drive an ongoing effort of innovation and execution of new product development
o Manage aspects of research and development of new business ideas; make recommendations on necessary activities for introduction of new products, processes and potential areas of growth
o Research and implementation of new camps and innovative ideas to drive new revenue
o Developing and documenting organization and implementation strategies to achieve consistent high quality results on site at all camps
• Set a high standard of excellence for the staff and campers exhibited by teaching, leading and conducting oneself in a professional manner, while maintaining a positive public image
o Make and maintain regular contact with coaches around the country to promote and organize current and new programs
o Oversee the representation of a positive organizational image to the general public, clients and the community
• Analyze and make recommendations on factors such as pricing, distribution and product performance based on camp performance
• Assist with JRIC’s camp merchandising partner(s). Duties may include:
o Scheduling production of apparel for on-site camp store
o Collaborate on designs of camp apparel and other gear
o Ordering and maintaining inventory
o Shipping apparel and gear orders
o Other duties as assigned by Managing Director

Position Requirements
• Flexible schedule and ability to work extended hours leading up to and during camp season
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and conflicting assignments
• Skilled at problem solving during a demanding schedule with ability to steadily lead and direct
• Must be able travel for extended periods of time over the summer as needed
• Must be willing to live temporarily on-site at all Intensive Camp locations
• Physically demanding at times.
• Must be able to demonstrate a wide variety of wrestling techniques
• Must occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 100 lbs.

• Bachelor’s degree in sports management, recreation management, business administration, or other related field
• Experience working with youth sports and/or other camps
• Collegiate/International wrestling experience (preferred)
