Assistant Wrestling Coach - SIUE

The Assistant Wrestling Coach reports to the Head Coach and Director of Athletics and must subscribe to the SIUE Principles Governing Athletics. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

-Supporting the goals and objectives of the athletic program
-Assisting the Head Coach with organization of practices, recruitment, team travel, fund raising, and any other area of responsibility as directed by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics
-Complying with University, Conference, and NCAA Division I rules and regulations
-Working cooperatively and responsibly with other departmental personnel
-Supporting the student-athlete concept and demonstrating concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete
-Additional duties as assigned

-Bachelor’s degree required (master’s degree preferred)
-Evidence of sound organizational and communication skills
-Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, and the public
-Four years collegiate wrestling experience
-Two years collegiate coaching experience preferred
-Division I coaching and recruiting experience is preferred
-Familiarity with and understanding of University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations
