Yes,  but you don't have to stop and start there.  Not all media presented to the public is biased.

Even with that said,  and goes to the question of value-free research,  too many people have been duped into believing that bias automatically equals inaccurate.  That is also not always the case.

I demonstrate both of these in every class,  every semester.  It's a great way to learn good critical thinking skills.

😂🤣  You teach critical thinking skills???

Why,  yes,  I do.  Kind of mandated to,  my friend.

Perhaps you should look into it some time.  Mes thinks it'll do you and others around yis some good.

So, you're admitting that you don't have the ability to skip the last step to arrive at that calculation!?

Once again,  the joke's on you, and I didn't even have to set you up.

LOL!!!!!!!

Got it right! First try too!

No wonder you authoritarians think you know what's going on in classrooms,  without ever setting foot in our classrooms.

You apparently are in a "classroom" and don't know what is going on...

After all,  you would know,  as you've been in several of my classrooms and know exactly what is going on.

See, banning what people can teach in their classes,  as well as the books that we may use,  is EASY!

AGAIN....show us what has been "banned" and what books have been "banned", not what you make up in your mind, or spew some other stupid MSM talking point, but actual policy that says "XYZ subject is to not be taught in schools", or "XYZ book should be banned from anyone reading it"...I'll wait for the typical idiotic statements people spew when they can't prove the dumb things they write or say...

Not to mention, I assume you teach this fallacy of books being banned in your "classroom"/prison setting/community room at the local library where you hold "class"

As you already know,  I don't do others' work for them,  and ESPECIALLY for people who won't read the sources that I provide,  nor even acknowledge their truth.

If you REALLY cared about book cancel culture and censorship you'd read for yisself, but you clearly don't and LOVE the fact that authoritarians on your side are cancelling culture and books.

Oh,  and by the way...psssst...I live In Iowa, which is in a race with Florida to see who can cancel the most culture.

LOL...as expected.

I have tried to look this up so many freaking times only to not be able to find any sort of concrete facts surrounding this.  All I find are news articles spewing "analysis" and "opinions" rather than providing any concrete undisputed facts about policy indicating anything is being banned.

Here is what happens which you and your ilk fall for...the headline reads "Florida bans LGBTQ+ from being taught in schools", "Teachers Can't Say Gay in School", etc., you scream "BOOKS ARE BEING BANNED!!"  But when you read up on what has actually happened, it is far from what the headlines read or what the articles contain.  Rather policy has been put into place which details out what age people feel is appropriate for KIDS to learn about such topics.  Those policies are generated based off of multiple different points of views, parent's thoughts, "experts", etc.  Yet a certain group of people don't want to address that fact.

And specifically around the topic of books that were asked to be removed from elementary school libraries, if one actually looks at what is inside those books it makes perfect sense why they would be removed from elementary school libraries.  Yet the narrative is set to appease stupid people to villainize certain political opponents and get the stupid sheep to follow suit.

You know what would be a more appropriate argument, how about a discussion around what age group should kids learn about people's sexual preference?  Or gender identity?  Or be exposed to sexually explicit material? And who should expose kids to those things (parents or teachers or other)?

My argument on the topic, as a parent, I ABSOLUTELY should have a say in that (NOT some "teacher" with an over-inflated sense of self and "intelligence"...aka. YOU Ban!).  And those things should first be taught by me the parent and then not in schools until after puberty 15/16'ish (would be okay with 13/14ish though).

Then you either can't read,  or you're deliberately trying to deny that you folks support authoritarianism and canceling culture.  There's so much information that it ought to be slapping you in the face

There is a CARLOAD of information out there about the books and course content that is being cancelled all across the land.  And,  yes,  books are being banned for use and access.  Right here in Iowa, under autocratic,  authoritarian rule, us and Florida are leading the way.

Baloney. Student test scores,  as a longitudinal trend,  have done nothing but go up for over forty years.

Stop listening to people who only want to keep you angry and uninformed.

Man...you are dense...clearly you don't know how a back and forth works....please explain to me, and provide evidence, where what I wrote is wrong.  Since there is a "CARLOAD" this should be easy for you to refute what I said is happening.

Books are NOT being banned...removed from elementary school libraries that aren't age appropriate for them to read/see...YES!  Teachers are NOT getting fired for saying gay...is curriculum being changed to make sure things are age appropriate for those who are ready to learn things about sexuality/gender/etc....YES!  Books are NOT being banned from adults...are books being removed that aren't age appropriate at certain libraries where kids not age appropriate have access to them...YES!!

Shield it anyway you want,  but,  yes,  culture is getting canceled.

You initially said there are no book cancels, now you change your tune to "age appropriate."

As the kids say these days,  stay in your lane.  You're fighting a battle against someone with 28 years of experience who also devotes much of his time to this.  You're simply parroting what irresponsible "media sources" are telling you,  all with the intent of keeping you angry and uninformed.

You're following script.

Yes, some books and subjects have been banned from being taught in schools.  Like CRT.  Though the books are not banned from being in the library, they are just not allowed to be used as a textbook.  You probably won’t find Mein Kampf or the Communist Manifesto in class, either.  Nor smut and pornography, we hope.  Although a senator has proven that pornography has made its way into school libraries, and available to too young children.

False.  That's the primary place where they are being cancelled and restricted.

Horse feathers.  Colleges are moving away from using test scores for admissions, and it’s not because they’re too high.

So much wrong here...first off...I never used the word cancel...I used YOUR word, "BANNED"!  You can't show me where anything is "banned"...my guess you are using this word in a way that fits your narrative.

Second..."stay in my lane"??  About what my kid gets taught in schools?  My opinion on what other kids should be taught in school?  Hey dum dum...that is the very definition of MY LANE!!  Because you have 28 years of teaching convicts and dropouts you think that you are the only person who should have a say in what my kid, or any kid gets taught in school??  Once again your true narcissistic behavior comes shining through.  Keep on keeping on Ban...

You'd be wrong.   Longitudinally,   student test scores have risen since 1973.

The few colleges that have chosen to get rid of test scores aren't doing it because scores are going down.

As the kids say,  stay in your lane.  You likely wear your name on your shirt where you work,  so you're out of your league taking eggakashun with me.

I can't show you because you won't read it,  nor are you interested.  If you were,  you'd know by now that hundreds of books' cultures have been banned and you support it.

No,  stay in your lane. If you're a parent of students,  have ALL the say that you want at parent/ teacher conferences.  You also have a say DAILY, by helping your kids with their work.  But,  of course,  you're too busy posting stupidity on here and listening to irresponsible people keeping you angry and uninformed.

If you want a say at school board meetings,  have at it but (1) go INFORMED,  as most who get fed by AM radio are not,  and (2) don't be a terrorist.

If all of that fails,  you still have two choices: home school,  or private school.

Giddy on, boy.  I must look like a fool,  arguing with an angry fool.
