I am deeply thankful that we have permission to speak freely again, that local high school wrestling starts next week, and that my family is in good health.  The smoked cowboy lollipops will be delicious. Today is a beautiful day and I am happy for it.

What are you grateful for?

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 to all wingers left and right as well as folks in the middle.  I'm thankful Bob & Du gave us this Non Wrestling forum where we can exercise free speech.  🙂

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

(C'mon there. Don't try to sneak politics into what otherwise was a good post. Don't ruin it.)

Happy Turkey Day everyone. I'm thankful for enough health, enough understanding, and enough great folks here.

Cheers.

I’m thankful my Injun ancestors didn’t kill my European ancestors but instead went forth and multiplied.

I'm thankful someone told my ancestors to "go west" so I didn't have to grow up in Jersey.

Great job everyone.

It was a pretty chill couple of days. That will 100% be short lived. Including myself, who will 100% go overboard at some point. We all have our moments.

Just remember we're all good people on here. That care about our country and culture.

Case in point - @VakAttack you're my dude. I know i go hard on you sometimes. We are diametrically opposed on most political issues. But I'd do anything for ya.

that ^^^ said I moved to a colder state but we don't have that nasty winter Canadian flow.  Sunny in the winter, lots of out door options.  🌞

We had a great Thanksgiving.   We smoked the turkey and it was incredible.  I'll tell you all exactly how.

1.   We thawed the turkey.

2.  We brined the turkey overnight.

3.  We put rub on the turkey.

4.   We put it in the smoker with apple wood chips for the smoke.

5.   Actually the wood smoked for longer than we  have ever seen.   I think the turkey was in there for 2 hours with the smoke happening.  Our smoker is simple.   Wood box for chips when they run out of smoke, the smoking is done.

6.  Pulled the turkey out after the smoke stopped and finished it in the oven with foil wrapped around it to keep the juices in.

7.  Still have sandwich meat ready to go.

When did his electricity come back on?

Posted

Electricity came back on Saturday before Thanksgiving in the evening.   We at out at the Mexican place and the power was on when we got home.    So we will do that from now on hoping that is a causal relationship.

Slept a lot, or wanted to.   Turkey sandwich today was full of smoky goodness!!
