Next year worlds will take place in Bahrain.

Should we be expecting Bahrain to take home the team title, then?

Team title is still unrealistic at this point but they're ambitious with their program hiring an entire team of Russians .

Thazudinov training partner did well against zare.

Tazh's complacency this season makes me wonder if it is "I am too good for this." or "Damn that cut was tough."

His training partner looks like he could easily make 97 KG and reciprocate to Tazh going up.

Tazh would get destroyed by Zare right now.

It was tongue-in-cheek.  Much like Kazakhstan didn't stand a chance to win it when it was in Kazahkstan.

Then they went and did this in 2019...

I think it's a mix of both specially for how dominant he was . He definitely didn't train as hard for this world and yes he's huge for 97 so the weight can affect his performance.

I noticed this during his match with zare.

Thaz training partner could make 97 but it won't happen unless thaz decide  to try 125 kg.

194 points is so crazy. If I remember right their champs were Uguev, Rashidov , Baev, Sidakov and Sadulaev that year.

Wow. 13-1 record on the day. 3 finalists and 1 going for bronze. I guess they should just cancel the world championships and have a dual match instead between Iran and the best non-Iranian in the world at each weight. Congratulations to you guys.

A 18 years old Iranian beat the legendary azizli of Azerbaijan

Azizli is 33

Our guy Raney that Azizli beat 5-1 in the quarterfinals is also only 18 years old. I hope we can see Raney vs. Ahmadi sometime soon.
