Trumps's Obsession With Crowd Size

Recommended Posts

What's the deal with this? It's obviously the most important thing to him. CONSTANTLY talking up his crowd sizes and talking down his opponents crowd sizes. Every time he talks. How petty and pathetic.

Even last night, Kamala made a comment last night about people leaving his speeches early due to boredom and he was visibly angry and spent a ridiculous amount of time responding to it. As if that was a low blow. Hit him where it hurts the most.

What does this obsession tell you about his psychology, that we don't already know from his constant lying and insults?

Truly a "small man" as Adam Kinzinger accurately indicated.

When I see large, sold-out crowds at Trump events, with even more people watching on screens outside, it reinforces my belief that he has strong support from everyday people.

On the flip side, when I notice fewer people at opposition events, it influences my opinion that their support might be lacking.

It’s like how Taylor Swift concerts sell out, so she must be good. Meanwhile, nobody goes to Oakland A's games, which makes me think they aren’t doing well.

Once your information bubble bursts, and you see through the media lies and realize how people just repeat them, it becomes clear how much propaganda is at play.

Actions speak louder than words. When people spend hours just to hear a politician speak in person, it adds weight to claims about a weaponized DOJ, rigged systems, and other forces working against them.

You missed a prime opportunity to bash the White Sox.

"When people spend hours just to hear a politician speak in person"

It adds weight to PT Barnum... "There is a sucker born every minute."

Because everyone in this board applies the same thought processes to ALL politicians, right?

WR, RL was speaking specifically of Trump and I think that is clear.   But he did not specify Trump, he said politician.  My question to him, in not so much specificity, was does the same apply to Kamala.   Is his rule of thumb universal or targeted?

I think you are right, it will be stratified.  If you don't like candidate A, suckers are the only ones going to see him/her.    If you like candidate B, those that go are not suckers.
