You can smell the fear coming from Iowa.

It’s as clear as the sky is blue when they pull crap like that!

Are we gonna see Caliendo now??? Insiders, yes / no?

The dual lineup from Iowa has Ayala out for Joey Cruz and Gabe Arnold in. Lame for Arnold to be in now.

any chance arnold gets the post season knod?

Low.

I thought he had one date left before the redshirt is burned (so next appearance would be "official"). However, people online are telling me he has one more date left after today so he could go against Plott.

Losing close to Plott isn't a good reason to burn the shirt. Beating Plott however...

This really has the strong appearance of a  🦆 on Ayala's part.  Trying to preserve the #2 seed at the Big Tens.

Of course - even “these” guys know it.

I’m upset about the Iowa duck and equally ticked over how it makes the sport look in general.

They'd have to really want that 3rd place trophy

I remember years ago Brands did an interview where he said "we're trying to win NCAAs every year, I know everyone is but who really is." Hard to say that philosophy, or "we're gonna put our best team on the mat" is intact currently.

We need to get better. I like our guy at that weight. We're looking forward to the next match. We gotta wrestle hard. Be smart out there.

Meh.  The Ayala thing could certainly be a duck, but it could be routine maintenance or him being ill.  He hasn't missed a match this year, I don't think.  The Arnold thing, though, is hard to forumlate a defense for.

Woods still doesn't look right, it may just be his new normal.

Woods looks healthy. And he looks tough. Didn’t know he is going to medical school. I think it always nice to learn a few things about these wrestlers off the mat.

One time in Canada I saw a magician named "The Great Zargo". He was arrested for a couple of questionable activities in his personal life. I want to see Joe Zargo pull off a little magic here.
