Losing Mastro and Carter hurt them.  And Sheets IDK.

Ahh ... Witcraft got 3rd only losing to the first place, also scored a pin so more points than Mastro would've generated.

Carter got 5th only losing to first place Alirez, he beat the 3rd place on the front side before injury.

Yeah Sheets scored no points, prob bad that he drew a bye first round then lost to 3rd & 4th place.  He did tear up the mini extra bracket.

Okay, I’ll give you the 125 comparison being that Mastro may have been seeded on the same side of the bracket.  For OSU to win, a healthy Carter places third; Sheets places sixth, his seed; and G wins his finals match.

Some strange seedings after all the discussion of how they are decided.  Carter was seeded behind two guys he beat in duals.  G, seeded second, lost to the one seed and beat the third and fourth placers.

Carter split with Mosha this year & lost to Carlson (5th seed) in the dual against SDSU. Carter may have taken third if healthy but that is far from a certainty.

He beat the guy who won third.  My thoughts are that he would have finished second if he had been seeded on the other side of the bracket and not been injured, but that is a big IF.  Now the concern is that he will be injury plagued as Boo and Brock were.

They did well through the semis. Little disappointed with the finals performance. Six guys in the finals and only one champ (wins in tiebreaker). Two lost to guys they beat just a couple of weeks ago.

I was impressed with Hart, who looks to have stepped it up a notch. He was handled by Alirez, but I think Alirez will win 141. Hopefully Hart can get on the podium.

I won't overreact to O'Toole getting pinned. I think he made some adjustments from the first match and will have some new ideas if they meet again, which I hope they do. 165 is a meat grinder and O'Toole will have a rough path, and even a good a Carr looks, he's no guarantee to make the finals. He was in a close battle in the Big 12 semis.
