Virginia Tech sweeps quad meet, improves to 4-0

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. -- Virginia Tech wrestling won all three bouts Sunday at a quad meet vs. Ohio, Kent St. and West Virginia to improve to 4-0 on the 2020-21 season. The eighth-ranked Hokies lost just eight of the 30 matches Sunday afternoon and recorded 13 bonus-point victories.

  • No. 18 Sam Latona was the only Hokie to go 3-0 Sunday afternoon. After winning his first match via forfeit, Latona won his second match in a 10-2 major decision before taking down No. 12 Killian Cardinale 3-2 in the only ranked matchup of the day.
