Notching his biggest victory as a Jackrabbit, Sorenson scored a 13-11 victory over No. 11 Hudson Taylor of Maryland. After going up 12-6 in the third period, Taylor recorded a reversal and a two-point near fall to get within two at 12-10. Sorenson would end with an escape and Taylor would receive a riding time bonus to end the scoring, completing the upset. In 2008, Taylor placed third at the National Championships at 197 pounds. Sorenson is a perfect 5-0 in duals after coming back from an injury to start the season.
