Head Assistant Wrestling Coach

Description: Cumberland University's Athletic Department is seeking applicants for the position of Head Assistant Wrestling Coach. The Assistant Coach would assist the Head Coach in the administration of all aspects of the NAIA wrestling program.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following: coordination of practices, recruiting, retention, match management, instruction, scheduling, travel arrangements, coaching student-athletes, practice planning, video coordination, administrative duties, supporting sport growth opportunities/events, ability to work compatibly with all athletics department personnel, and other responsibilities as directed by the Head Coach. This position, along with all staff, is responsible for the integrity of Cumberland University's intercollegiate athletics program and for the reputation of Cumberland University. This position is responsible for ensuring that his involvement with Athletic Department activities maintains the integrity of the University's reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students and alumni. Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures and NAIA rules and regulations.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree required and at least one year of college coaching experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with student-athletes, peers and the general public; ability to understand and comply with all rules and regulations of Cumberland University and the NAIA; ability to work compatibly and cooperatively with a variety of staff and personnel in the Department of Athletics, the University and the community.
